the future?

A look into the future usually involves a long look rearward and this website is no exception. To do it for a paycheck would qualify it as research but this has been a labor of love, although, one can only dream of being paid to look at old photographs and read old show catalogues. It was difficult, dredging up friendly ghosts, but it was generally an enjoyable experience and it has given us a real direction for the next few years.

Who knows what the future holds? We have a good idea what we want and where we want to go but no idea how long we have to do it. Our next step will be to import new blood, try to improve our stock and take it to a  higher level. We have the idea of our perfect dog and have been very fortunate that we seem to be getting closer. When we are finished trying, it gets harder each year to rise at four am. to groom and drive fifty miles to a dog show, we will get more active in club life to try and give something back.

In October 2003 we walked back into the  Agriplex in Cloverdale B.C. to co-judge the Iams Golden Age Classic. It was fitting to be in this building as it was the scene of some of our early humiliations and of our greatest triumphs.  It was an honor to be asked to judge our peers and competition from the last ten years. It was a humbling experience to be told these people had entered in record numbers. Our future will probably involve both of us judging .

Thank you for visiting our site, we hope you enjoyed your stay. Please come back any time, we have many pictures and little room so I plan to change some of them regularly and really hope to add more new ones.

Before you leave, I want to ask a special favor of you. The next time you are at a function dealing with dogs, be it a club dinner, a judges dinner or specialty dinner. Let the others get up and congratulate each other then remember why you are all there. Stand up, raise your glass and propose a toast.

" TO ALL THE DOGS WHO HAVE ENRICHED OUR LIVES BUT ARE NO LONGER HERE"

Good bye for now.
